At around 7:30 PM, Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Jareth, my five-month old kitten left this world to join the other one. He was hit by a car, whose driver instead of slowing, actually sped up and hit him in the abdomen. His back was broken, his ribs broken, and his lungs punctured. I rushed him to the hospital with my mom and grandmother, but he died before we arrived.

They attempted CPR, but he wasn't coming back.

Jareth, my little baby, was a fiesty little kitten who loved to explore and play. He was also a little pig, but he was my baby. He was scheduled to go to the vet for his second round of shots today. I'm going to miss him, even though he was under the care of my mother until I could find a place to live. He was my first loss as a pet owner, and I'm not okay, I'm not.

He was too young and happy to have suffered as he did. He went quick though, within 15-20 minutes after being hit. How could someone have been so cruel. I'll always remember him crying in pain. He was hurting so much...and I couldn't do anything.

I wasn't holding him when he died, my mom was, but the pain is still there. I can't believe he's gone. My mom's cat searched all last night for him.

I buried him under the tree in my mom's back yard. He loved to lie there and be Jareth.

Jareth, I love you. I will always love you. I'm thankful for the time I had with you, even if it was short. I wished you could have lived longer. Rest in peace my baby boy, and eat all the cat food you can in heaven. You'll be remembered happily, by me, always.
